Project Objective
Taking into account the earthquakes expected to occur in Istanbul, the potential damage to urban infrastructure (buildings, flyovers, etc.), utilities (natural gas, water, electricity, communications) and the transport network (road closures, etc.) has been identified. In addition, a city-wide ground model (Vs30) has been developed for the whole of Istanbul in this study.
