Project Objective
This study aims to compile a physical inventory of all high-rise buildings (+20 storeys) across Turkey, and particularly in Istanbul, within the framework of the protocol entitled ‘Joint Study on the Assessment of Earthquake Damage in High-Rise Buildings, Emergency Demolition Procedures and Necessary Measures’, signed between the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation and Boğaziçi University. A mobile mapping (mYUBI) application was developed to compile the Turkish High-Rise Building Inventory, and the high-rise building data collected in the field was displayed and monitored in real time via a map-based web application (webYUBI).
